GL- The halves look customer rolled. Maybe you'll get lucky

Yes! The dimes & quarters too. I see a couple of those old blue nickel wrappers. I remember those from when I was a kid in the 60's & 70's! But I guess the wrapper being old doesn't mean the contents are.
How are you sure the halves aren’t searched?
How are those from coinstar?
In rolls. No way.
maybe he's planning to take them to CoinStar when he's done, and the fees are the expensive part?
Probably. I think the fees are 11%.
You should convert the coins into gift cards such as amazon then there are no fees

Reroll them and dump at a different branch for cash. Keep the change and pay $0 in fees?
Me too!
Have done that!
Afterwards
Dont know! I will be searching them though
You never know with customer rolled. They could be rolled by another hunter or from grandma's coin jar. The only time I score a significant amount of silver from customer rolled coins had to me a couple of years ago. $125 in customer rolled haves netted me a whole roll of silver

Get a credit union. Two of mine are completely free of charges, the other one does have a charge of 5% over $100.

Roll 9. Wow! I'm so overwhelmed! 9 rolls and scored! 4 Silver. My first time ever searching half dollars. It was great searching something new.

Thanks! I have much more to search! Hopefully a doubled die and more silver.
thanks! that all I needed to hear
You got lucky. I searched maybe 500-1000 dollars in customer wrapped roll as and I have found three 40%, and a proof. The silvers were from two rolls. I think there is a searcher who doesn’t mark rolls in my area. A message to all roll hunters; please mark your rolls so you don’t waste other searchers time.
Great job on the silver. You normally don't find that many in rolls. A lot of people have searched entire boxes and not found that many.
Nice silver finds! Sometimes you get lucky with halves, other times not so much.

Thanks all. I felt like I got very lucky! I had doubts at first! I was seeing die cracks then I started opening the Detroit labels. Just about every one had silver. My very last half coin was 1964
Old wrappers dont necessarily mean put away long time ago rolls. I bought a collection a while ago, that guy had numerous unused wrappers for all series. Many old timey and banks no longer even in existence, but I still use the wrappers to wrap up face value coins that come in from collections.
Cant seem to do anything with quarters. Isnt a shocker! 0 for 100s of rolls! Keep or dump these? West Virginia Maybe AU. 1992 has 2 die cracks from the head. and Proof coin.

Those silvers are making the hint worth your time! That’s great.
Keep the quarters if you’ve got album holes to fill or if you just like them, otherwise, release back into the wild. I’d probably keep the proof regardless, because I like them.
I've always wondered where we lost the ability to count to 40 or 50 and dump coins into a tube. Especially our segment of the population, we handle a lot more coins than most. Less than a 10 minute job to re-roll that stuff. I can't make 11% on my money, let alone pay that out.....
Besides, the stores in my area are happy when I pay with rolled coins.
Nice silver finds @Coin_nut1977...Now if you can find a WLH, that would really make your day. Good luck... Cheers, RickO
Found one!
Couple months ago. West Point Lowell. Are you referring to?
WLH is a walking liberty half.
I’ve found 5 so far CRH. That goes to show you how much I was into CRH. I was practically getting $2k in halves a week!
Good luck

the rolls with crimped ends are more likely to be unsearched but even then they are likely to be recycled coins unless one or both ends is a brand new shiny coin. Crimped ends indicate rolled by a rolling facility (i.e. brinks, loomis) while folded ends indicate rolled by a bank customer or a bank employee.
Even folded end rolls can provide rewards (silver) if a consumer was desperate for a pack of smokes and spent long saved coins. I used to like searching bank boxes of recycled crimped end rolls of half dollars for 40% and 90% silver. These days most of it has been pulled from circulation.

@Coin_nut1977.... No, as @Kliao mentioned above, I was referring to a Walking Liberty Half dollar.... A great find when roll searching...Cheers, RickO
I'm sure people were thrilled to get a half dollar as a tip. "Here's a giant coin that no one uses anymore and will wear a hole in your pocket because I didn't think your help even merited $1"

Wow! Congrats on those finds. Not to many halves available here. Northern Michigan
Dimes were are a bust! No surprise.
small lamination error also

1st roll of nickels and Scored! What a buy at this new bank
Most of the time you will need to ask your branch to order boxes of halves for you. Most banks won’t have boxes of halves lying in their safe. Most of the time it’s what the customers bring in.
Here’s a picture of the silver halves I’ve found so far. Had to be 2-3 years of searching. Havent touched a box for a year or so as my dad started to get tired of carrying the haves to the bank
Oh and it’s 6 walker not 5
