NEWP 1937 Proof Walker
I took a break from the circulation strikes to focus a bit on a matching proof set. Here is the '37 I just picked up. Very nice, no hairlines. PF65. However, the "AW" is almost polished down suggesting a later die state. Fox mentions a "without AW" variety, but I don't see that's it's acknowledged in other sources.
This one matches my set very well and I'm glad to have added it. Sometime I'll have to get back to the business strike set and tackle those tough '20's but for now I think I'm lovin the mirror field proofs.
PS, do any of you all have a designated proof Cameo Walker you'd like to share? (this one is not) Thanks

That's really nice! Congrats on the pick up.
Nice coin!
Nice looking PR Walker!

That is a wonderfully bright proof example. Examine Liberty's outstretched hand to see if you have a 'floating finger', as you had mentioned reverse die polishing.
Very nice example of a tough date. Congratulations.
Your pics are pretty dark ... but looks like it’s a nice one, congrats. I’m interested in picking up one of these too but it’s tough finding them without haze/spots....especially trying to judge from pics alone.
Yes it’s very tough finding them without Haze and/or distracting spots.
Nice proof walker. I agree the pictures are a little dark, but these coins can be hard to photograph.
I myself have been trying to complete a matching proof walker set (3/7). It's really easy to find mediocre proof walkers and finish the set in a week. But it's really hard to find quality top notch ones. Wish I had a full cameo proof WLH....

Great Walker. Thanks for sharing.

@CoinPhysicist thanks for the reply. It’s tough finding the right ones. My degree is in Physics. Is yours also?
The missing AW doesn't necessarily mean later die stage. The initials are in a rather vulnerable part of the die and are raised, so they are easily polished off when the proof die is prepped. My preference with proof Walkers is that all the detail that is supposed to be present is present, and it looks like yours is pretty much in that category.

. Do you still do physics?

I’m not a big proof guy, but wow, this one is AMAZING. Well done!

Cool! More coin/physics people! I teach physics at a local college.

That's a really nice proof that you've got there! Congratulations!
I plan on testing out the proof Walker waters very soon.
I always wanted a 1936 proof...

Looks like a nice '37.
That's a beauty I like
That is a very nice proof WLH....I have thought about getting one or two of these... I may have to 'think' harder now...
Really nice. Cheers, RickO
Nice addition...
Sort of, more applied science/material science as it relates to building construction.
Very nice!

That's a nice looking piece. I (well, a designated dealer) looked through a LOT of examples before finding one nice enough to buy when I got mine.
A true beauty.
Congratulations 🍾
