Talked to a dealer & he said the show is on for Sunday in the parking lot. He didn’t know if there was going to be a tent but he was bringing one

Tangentially related, I got a postcard today inviting me to the Westchester, NY show on Sept 25 and 26. The venue is listed as the Tarrytown, NY Marriott, does anyone know if this will be held indoors or outdoors?

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

This was a outdoor show with about 25 dealers who are regulars at the inside show.
Lots of bullion with 90% selling at $19-20 X Face and buying at $18 - $18.25 range
Lots of gold with old gold selling for a small premium above spot. these were raw $2.5 & $5
The show was lightly attended with no advertising

Flea markets have been opening up with limitations around here; Stormville in NY and Elephant's Trunk in New Milford, CT.
I heard the Albany show would be out in the lot too. Flea market style. A vest pocket told me the Naugatuck CT show at the VFW was held on the 4th Saturday recently. With many indoor stores, Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes, grocery stores etc open why not just follow their rules?
Give a lot of credit to Joe and Damion for putting together an outdoor show... was unable to attend but one could certainly say that something is better than nothing for those that want to go!!!
I was there for about 30 minutes. Sold 2 coins and bought 3.
Also tried buying some more coins but after agreeing to HIS ASKING PRICES and telling him to write me an invoice he back pedaled saying he sold them too cheap.

I told him to keep the coins and walked away.

I guess no complaints about coin show lighting? 😀
Nope... Can't beat natural daylight.
This is so true!! I remember many years ago i bought a coin at the Westchester show when it was upstairs. After the show ended and i was in the car i took it out again and looked at it didn't look so 🔥

Yeah it makes a difference... When I was young dealers would let me take coins outside for a moment prior to committing by giving them my drivers license.

RE: Parsippany - was this the first show they had run since COVID? Does anyone know if they will be doing it again for October - and will it back to 1st Sunday (assuming was 2nd Sun due to Labor Day)? So, Oct. 4th??
RE: Westchester - as noted above, that is supposedly this weekend (Fri 25, Sat 26) in Tarrytown. Can anyone confirm this? If the postcard went out a couple weeks ago, I assume so?
Danbury, which was to be Sun., Sept. 27, was cancelled.

I was told from a reliable source its on the 13th in the parking lot.
That sounds interesting... a parking lot coin show...never went to an outdoors show. Show reports please. Cheers, RickO
A parking lot would be interesting from a security standpoint.
HMMMM..
I should go just to see this!

That is awesome. All the dealers will leave the coins I cannot afford at home!

Free cleaning
just great, a coin show in the parking lot with everyone wearing a mask and gloves.
Seriously, can't wait to get back to normal times - gosh this is all so surreal.
and then use the sanitizer.

Now there's a drive through Starbucks across from it where the Burger King was. That area is now like an airport with all the traffic.

Resembles a flea market more than a coin show IMO.
