    Fun fact: More times than not it is shoe polish. Dried, and then some of it buffed off.

    Yea... Honestly some of the fakes would pass if they made em out of silver.

    Do some of the people on ebay actually think they are going to sell a "rare" common coin for $10,000, $15,000 or $20,000? Some of the ads are ridiculous and ebay shouldnt even allow them. Ebay needs to get a hand on some of the scammers. It used to be a good place to buy things but you have to be cautious now.

    Ebay lost the status of 'a good place to buy things'....with all the fakes, scams, hoaxes, and lies that fill the listings now, it is a like trying to traverse a mine field to find anything good. Do not even consider ebay 'getting control' of the problems. They cannot. Cheers, RickO
