Yes, take them back to the bank coin machine or a Coinstar and be sure to NOT check the reject slot! Some of us like finding silver treasures!

Don't forget Feb. 12th is Lost Penny (cent) day, Chase's calendar of events says so, On that day people are encouraged to spend or turn into Banks all the pennies that they have in jars, sock drawers and other places, every thing you buy on that day should be in Pennies even if you need a wheelbarrow, like they say if you got'm spend them! Kid's a one school paid for there lunch all in pennies. How would you have liked to be the worker who made that days deposit?

Thanks ricko; I know they had a lengthy discussion ATS about a nation wide shortage. I live in Central PA and for three months or so I have checked my local banks and one bank 28 miles away and can find no teller to say their bank was short of coin. Every Thursday I pick up 5 rolls of Quarters from a local bank. Don't know if this is any help to the discussion but thought I would comment.
