Hard-working Circulated Coins in Honor of Labor Day
I've always been fascinated by good-looking circulated coins and they're the focus of my current type set. I still have some uncirculated and proof coins but there's something about a nice, original circulated coin that floats-my-boat. They remind me of the time when I'd go to the coin shop with my Dad and just looked and studied until my Dad told me it's time to go.
I recently picked up this VF-30 1921 Peace Dollar on Heritage. I didn't need it as I already have two of them (an MS-63 in OGH and a low ball) and I probably paid too much but something about it was calling my name. I'll probably keep it on my desk to look at over and over again.
This coin may not be to everyone's liking but that's why I love collecting coins as there are no two ways to best go about it. Collect what you like and I like circulated coins!
Post a hard-working circulated coin that you are fond of!!

Solid looking example. Reminds me of my grandpa’s stash of circulated Morgan and Peace Dollars.
Here's one, another 1921 that was passed down from my grandfather
I started a Walker set LONG ago, going for the late, common date, coins in MS. 64 when I could afford them....62 or 63 when I couldn't.
Finished that, and started to look at the early dates. At first, I was less than enthused. But over time, I started to LIKE the F, VF, XF coins. This one qualifies as a good looking, honest, circulated coin! Still dirt remnants from it's working days..... XF-45, CAC
This rascal made the rounds in commerce before I had it entombed in a PCGS VG08 slab.
it's crackers to slip a rozzer the dropsy in snide
A WHOLE LOT of hard work was done to earn these two dollar pieces (different varieties).

Hard work indeed! Plus good at the company store with their marked up prices.

I'm glad this one didn't work much longer. The date would have been gone if it had.
I always honor Labor Day. It's a sad time for me as both my parents died on Labor Day.
I think this coin can be considered "Hard worked."

Definitely not mine but a very interesting coin that did a lot of work though it was not meant to do so.
There is also one known even lower in NGC AG.
This might have been one of the slabbed coins posted by a member here in the last few years that had a photo of a few circulated major rarities normally found Uncirculated. Could not find the post.
