Usually, not a fan of trade dollars but this one speaks to me, the mirrors and the frost is ohh so perfect. One can always drool and dream about a beauty lol

    it's amazing what a little knowledge/know how can yield the vigilant. look up trueviews, auction results, pops, coinfacts, etc. one of the listed coins ended on heritage recently for $18k and now listed for around 50% more for example. nothing wrong with paying someone a profit though.

    would be fun to have an inventory like this either way around it. :smile:

    That slab photo is taken with my cellphone 5" on top of the slab with no direct lighting to show off the CAMEO. The PCGS tru-view is also listed for detail. Believe me when I tell you the coin in hand looks more like the slab photo than the PCGS tru-view minus some of the detail. It IS that BLACK and white in hand. George at perfectcoinsinc@gmail.com

    Thanks Mr Feld for your attempt to discredit our coin after our recent argument at heritage. We always list a tru view pic as well as slab photos but the coin in hand looks way more like the slab photo than the tru-view. G at perfectcoinsinc

    I'm not certain it's juiced. The slab and insert don't appear pixilated. Maybe different lighting.

    Edited to add: upon enlarging the photo there is definite pixilation.

    Perhaps you and your company could donate some good photography equipment to help with our slab photos instead of trying to discredit a small business that deals in high quality coins with 100% client satisfaction. Just a kind thought. G at perfectcoinsinc

    Slab pics don’t look juiced to me. That’s what a real DCAM looks like under certain lighting.

    Perhaps you could pay one of the several professional or hobby coin photographers out there a few grand to build you a quality setup. Surely if you can afford an inventory that is multiples of my home value, you could afford $5,000 for a world class coin imaging setup.

    I can attest that the picture taken of the this coin can be duplicated as I have done it on mine. That being said , it does not portray a true realistic view of the coin. The fields of my 65cam are very similar to that of the True View picture of this coin.
    I do not think this picture is juiced just portrayed in a different 'light' or in this case "shadow".

    jgrinz has it correct. The back of my phone case is the black in the FIELDS of the coin. No direct lighting just natural room lighting.
    5 inches directly over the slab. I found this the best way to show how good the CAMEO is since I deal in dmpls,cams and dcams.
    Tru-view pics are usually also listed as well for detail purposes if they exist. If not even amateur collectors know how to look up a coin on NGC or PCGS or even auction archives.

    The TruView is one image of the coin. Many other images may be taken of the same coin and it might look different. Say it ain’t so!?

    I think you naysayers are just bored. Yes, yes, yes the slab shot can indeed look exactly like above without any photo manipulation. I’ve gotten exactly the same look with my own CAM, DCAM and DMPL coins.....and there was no juicing involved.

    Take a look at these 2 pcgs pics.
    We own both these dcams , I can assure you that even though the 1868 looks brighter and better FROSTED, it is not. The 1866 is
    brighter and more heavily FROSTED. The detail such as contact marks May or may not be good in these PCGS photos and the lighting certainly differs. Tru-view photos when it comes to CAMEOS, DEEP CAMEOS and dmpls are NOT a good representation of what the coin looks like in hand as it is impossible to capture the clarity and depth of the MIRRORS in a photograph.
    We have always been of the opinion that these coins look more our slab photos in hand than the tru-view pics. How many times do we think we are looking at a black and white coin in hand and look up the tru-view PICS just to see a brown coin????? ALOT! G at perfectcoinsinc

    I love TrueViews but it's important to inspect the coin in hand. I think videos are great and hope to see more used by dealers

    The photos on his listing look awful. THIS coin IS AMAZING. The trueviews are spectacular.

    I own a chopped semi-prooflike that is pretty hard to photograph as well.
