  if you are meaning a 1999 "Platinum" Statehood Quarter Set than it is just worth face value or $1.25.

  Probably not. If it's what I think it is, it's State Quarters that are plated with platinum. These were gimmicks that were sold by the home shopping chanels . Don't get taken in. This stuff has no collector value and is a waste of money if you spend much more than face value on it.

  Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
