first thing is to find a specific # of ddo it is. if it is one. i am posting pre-pics. if it is NOT on the FS list, then that leaves you with anacs, icg, segs and probably one other i'm not currently thinking of.
if you mean un-officially. we can probably do it here or you can send it directly to wiles/wexler and a couple others. best to send a few no matter what you do to keep costs per item down. unless you are about to show a major red unc top pop example!!!
If ANACS has recognized the coin with that DDO then they will slab it. If it is a new discovery by yourself then you are in for an uphill battle. I called ANACS and they will accept letters of blessing from John Wexler and James Wiles for some things. In regards to early dollars, Overton. It is a mish mash of "stuff" with no clear direction. I emailed John Wexler and James Wiles about a Barber Dime discovery of mine on July 6th and they never replied. This was AFTER I emailed Kevin Flynn (author of a book on Barber Dime Varieties) and he said he has never seen the RPD that I showed him. If that is the process then it is clearly broken. I called PCGS and they too only take the blessings of a special group of select others. When those people do not reply to inquiries it puts the entire numismatic community at a loss...as if no discoveries are bening made these days.

in the future, please post full obv/rev pics. i am looking up your coin but the secondary pups are not in the areas you posted and to my eyes, the ddo is so minor, i really can't distinguish the extra thickening of the letters.
your pics are pretty nice and better than some of the previous threads of yours for buffalos.
there is only 1 ddo listed at the site i use, so i'll just post a link and you can check it out.
This is probably the most famous Class VI doubled die. Don't see near as much on OP's example.
Post here what you find. I have an old three ring binder that has two 53-D's marked hub doubled from when I was collecting as a teenager in the early 70's.

Not sure I can see the doubling that you do.... other than the 'S' in 'TRUST' is a little mis-shapen.

Looked at Variety Vista and Coppercoins websites and I see no Class 6 DDO's for the 53-D Lincoln.
I see nothing out of the ordinary on that coin. Sorry.
I see a bit of machine doubling at LIB and 9 in date. No split serifs tells me it is not a DDO.
Just my WAG,
bob
I do not see a DDO on that coin.... I looked really hard for doubling and just cannot see it...May just be me...Cheers, RickO
And I agree with the above comment.... nice photos!
+1
Here is an example of another nice and well known Class VI doubled die on a 1936 Buffalo nickel.
