Does anyone know who the ebay seller, greenbeanrarecoins, is???

I just tried to buy a $5000.00+ coin from them on ebay but it was declined before I could even press send for some reason. Sorry, folks, but I am so sick and tired of dealing with ebay sellers that automatically reply this way. :-( FYI, my money is just as green as the next guy's. What did I do wrong? JMHO. :-)

Low Feedback? Some Sellers do block ebay beginners.
or you could be on his blocked list.

That dealer is Bill Wetzler in Hasbrouck Heights NJ. I have done several transactions with him over the past few years, always completely satisfactory. They can be reached at (201) 462-0444.

Now listen boy, I'm tryin' to teach you sumthin' . . . . that ain't no optical illusion, it only looks like an optical illusion.
My mind reader refuses to charge me. . . . . . .
+1
Sounds like a system reject.
If you've never dealt with him he is likely a member of a forum who took someone else's word to block you.

I've heard of the OP and did a Google search. I can see why many eBay sellers have blocked him. Some people are just so difficult to please.
Hey there abcde12345, Forrest Gump said it perfectly. Stupid is what stupid does. It's not about being difficult to please, it's about spending a boat load of $ on something that you're so frickin' happy to own, and the seller not being afraid to stand behind what they sell and take your money for, if it's not what the buyer expected. Pretty simple, IMHO. :-)
You complain that you are being unfairly described as difficult to please and then demonstrate that you are difficult to please.
You have to consider that if you buy a $5000 coin on Ebay using PayPal and return it, which is your right, the seller is out at least $150.
Every seller on this forum kind of wants to block you now to avoid the hassle.
Nope.
I checked the OP username on ebay and came up with 1900+ feedback, 100% positive for the past 12 months. What am I missing?????

I didn't realize ebay charges the seller for a return. That's unfair IMO. That said, I'm willing to cover that charge every time if it means not being blocked from at least trying to add nice coins to my collection. Just thinking out loud.
If he only buys on eBay. that is inevitable. The buyer can only get positive feedback. Sellers can get positive, neutral, or negative.
OP said:
It would seem that his reputation precedes him. I am not making any sort of accusation or determination, but a number of sellers have apparently reached a certain conclusion (or relied on others who have).
Offering to reimburse sellers for any charges incurred for a return is quite reasonable, though.
For the record my fellow coin crew, I will always be willing to cover the fee from eBay for returning a coin. I’m just a collector and I understand that this is a living for some.
eBay doesn't charge for returns. Within the last year, PayPal no longer returns fees to the seller when a charge is refunded.
Got it. Not at all fair IMHO.
I bought a nice coin from him a couple years ago through eBay. Price was fair, quality was good, went smoothly as expected. Would buy from him again.
He who knows he has enough is rich.
dizzyfoxx and I have had several dealings throughout the years and everything went fine. I would deal with him anytime either as a buyer or seller.
I've had deals with both greenbeanrarecoins and dizzyfoxx and there has never been a snag. I haven't had scores of deals with each, but have definitely done business with each and would not hesitate to do so again.
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
tire kickers cost ebay sellers money. ebay sellers block known tire kickers.

You even got wrong the meaning of that phrase.
Per the author of the script:
Forrest Gump replied “Stupid is as stupid does”, meaning that a person should be judged by his actions, not his appearance. Similarly, when you are evaluating a seller target, although appearances are important at the outset, it is more important to evaluate the seller's actions.

Isn't Bill Wetzler one of the certifiers over at CAC or am I thinking of someone else? Seems like a bit of a conflict of interest but I know the forum has been over this before and graders at other TPGs are dealers too. The difference is CAC only has a few people compared to a large grading room full of people.

Based on the eBay handle, a CAC affiliation wouldn't surprise me. Coins are not a regulated industry. Caveat emptor.
I have had dealt with dizzyfoxx many times before and he is definitely one of my best buyers.
