I bought these 2 coins and I'm going to keep one. I paid $1800 for one of them and $3000 for the other. This is all the information you get. Also why did you choose that particular coin? My pictures didn't turn out so hot. They are both much better in real life. I will probably send 63 to gc for the money the 55 is a awesome coin

2nd one. Seems to be less marks
The second has fewer distractions so I would keep that one. I'm guessing the first coin has the higher grade and is the more expensive coin.

I like the 2nd one as it has less marks, but it looks to have had an old cleaning. The 1st one looks more original except for the extra marks. But I'd rather have original than cleaned. 1st one for me!

Agree with the others.
Weird coin. The lettering is all messed up.
In all seriousness, it might depend on the reverse and there’s a very good chance it would depend on things that don’t show well on photos like hairlines & luster.
The first looks like it has more natural surfaces. If one is in a problem holder I’d never consider it. Bargains aren’t always bargains.
First coin looks a bit more natural. R/B (ish). Grade seems similar based upon pics. I like #1.
I like the luster and color on the first one but I see more marks. The slabs look like they need a polishing. If you can get $3K back from the expensive one, maybe sell that one. I might also look at trading/selling both and picking up a nice example in 64RB.
2nd one. I like the doubling better.
They're the exact same variety, dude.
I cant tell if the marks we see on the first example are on the slab or the coin. That info would influence my decision.

Top coin looks better to me, the strike is deeper, evident on the ear and fore hair and luster reflection showing at 11 and 4 o clock.
I'm probably wrong but why do I get the feeling #2 is counterfeit?
Aside from that #2 looks better.
Number 1 for me. Detail/strike seem better

I think your closeup photos are really magnifying the slab flaws and casting those onto the coins. I cannot answer your question from just an obv photo, but of the two obverses I like the 63 just slightly better in the full slab photos.

I like both coins. the 55 has a lot of red still on it. So a 55 in 55....or doubled.....heh!

It's really hard to pick from those pics, so I'll remain neutral until better pics can be provided. Still a cool coin to own!

The Mark's on first coin including the one under 55 are on holder.
I would keep the 55 in 55 and sell the other one on GC just like you mentioned. You did say they both look great in hand, and the older holder may have influenced my decision as well.
Don't really like either. Marks, toning streaks, weakish strikes, shiny high points or luster scrapes/breaks, etc.
But one thing seems obvious. Those coins aren't 8 grading points apart. So the AU55 probably has move mojo. And it's not a deadish brown color like so many are.
