I didn't realize PCGS Membership automatically re-upped every year...

Last year I just wanted to send in 8 coins with the voucher, so I signed up for the platinum group.
I got charged another $249 today, completely unexpectedly & not what I wanted. Can I get a refund? If not, do I at least get another voucher for an 8 coin submission? I didn't see anything about it anywhere.
Not cool.

Same thing happened to me a few years ago. You give PCGS a credit card #, they use it the following year to renew. Go to “my account” and deselect the renew option.
You should receive the vouchers and re-up info in the mail.

I hate that. It's the default which should not be.

A lot of places auto-renew you unless you tell them not to.

You do get the vouchers. In all fairness, they do tell you that it will auto renew.

Yep, pretty much any online subscription is auto-renewed unless you tell it not to.

If the renewal is very recent, you should be able to cancel.

I've never had a problem canceling an auto renewal (I was unaware would renew), shortly after it took effect.

Most places do not auto-reup at $250 a year, though.

Well, you are subscribing to a service level. Not much different than the yearly fee for amazon prime or a streaming music/video provider. It’s best to know ahead of time what you’re signing up for and even putting a little reminder to check/cancel at a particular date if you want it to be one time.

This order includes a recurring charge and is automatically renewed upon the date of expiration unless you cancel any future billings. This can be done by logging into your account page in the store section of our web site and clicking the button that says "stop future billing."

It depends upon your membership level. A place like AAA has a number of levels. I expect one could get to $250 without much effort.

    intransitive verb
First known use was in 1906
comes from combining re + sign up
meaning to sign up again or to enlist again

I am going to get charged again, in about three days. So many coins , so many widgets. So few customers. Buy CLCT instead.

    BUG REPORT

PayPal not working for me when trying to renew membership.
I place order on the PCGS page and then bounce back and forth w/ PayPal over & over.
