What would you do?
I am coming to the end of completing a Washington Quarter set from 1932 to 98. It’s a bu set and I have a few expensive coins to add the 1932’s are all Pcgs ms 64 or better coins to keep the set super bu. Would you remove them from the holders to enter in a raw set or leave them in the holders. Thanks for everyone’s opinions.

Leave them in the holders
Keep them in the holders.

Leave them in the holders.
My Collection of Old Holders
Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
Leave them in the holders.
You're about to complete the set...that's phase one. Now you can start upgrading and slabbing until the entire set is PCGS MS 64 or better.
Leave them in the holders. Easier for you, or your heirs, to sell them later.
Most of the coins would grade 65 or better, with some of the key coins already broken out of Pcgs holders. I taped the Pcgs labels in the front of the book instead of leaving them in the holders, so someday when it’s sold if anyone wanted to put it in holders they could. I did this so I would not have to store 6 or 7 Pcgs boxes per set of coins.
Leave them in holders. You should know the 64 look now. So you can more easily buy them raw much cheaper for a raw album anyway.
Definitely leave in holders. Very expensive not too if you ever sell them.
I would absolutely tell you to leave them in the holders, as well.

Same as above.
Yup yup yup, leave them in the holders!

Keep them in the Holders, dude. Nice choice in the Washington Set! Love 'em.

"Jesus died for you and for me, Thank you,Jesus"!!!
--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line.I would also suggest you leave them in the holders. But ultimately I say do what will give you the most enjoyment. You understand the downside to breaking them out.
Btw. Congratulations on completing your set.
Best wishes
LOL! Lets beat our heads against the wall! Leave Them in the Holders!
Wow, cracked them out of the holders? Why would you do that again?
If you’re very confident that the coins will grade the same or higher if cracked out and resubmitted later, and if the cost of recertification is of little concern, then absolutely crack the coins out and get some more pleasure out of your collection.
That said, I leave all of my coins in their slabs. It makes me a little sad.

I've cracked out a few of mine with a hammer. It was fun
It was fun like tearing down old kitchen countertops or flooring.
I'd recommend you leave them in the holders.
Put it this way, if you're asking, you should keep them in holders.
If you don't need to ask....
Absolutely keep them in the holders for both protection of the coins and of your investment.

I will add to the chorus - Leave them in the slabs. Of course, they are yours and you can do whatever makes you happy, but for coins of value, it is best to keep them slabbed - investment, authenticity, protection....Cheers, RickO
Keep them in the plastic

Nope. I'm for crossovers.
Thanks for all the responses! I guess they are staying in the holders, so now should I send in the balance of the collection?
Keep them in the holders. You won't be sorry
Echo in the chorus here! Yes, leave them holdered. Especially the key dates... and MS64... yeah, holdered...

Keep them holdered as they are better protected, more valuable, they may not grade as high the second time, easy for heirs to deal with, and it gives you a chance to hunt for raw ones to complete the album set. Yes, I know, the storage of slabbed coins is a problem, so that is the one drawback out of many benefits of keeping them slabbed.

As the others said, it’s best to leave the coins in the holders. If you cracked them out to put them in the album, you could damage them during crack-out, impart slide marks on them when you put them in the album, and they could tone/discolor quicker in the album. Plus, if you ever want to sell them, it will be much easier to do so if the coins are slabbed by a reputable grading company like PCGS.
If it is a matter of uniformity, yes.
