Simply not true. Just squint a little bit :) then pat your head and rub your belly while jumping up and down and spinning and singing Mary had a little lamb. It’s pretty easy actually.

    Obviously not a 64 or a 66 which doesn’t leave much.
64 has scratches - 66 has luster - Shes in between

Some good-natured fun shouldn't drive you away unless you have incredibly thin skin. If so, it is best for you to go.

    Cool!

I'm glad you aren't going anywhere and would love to see images of the coin that might better represent it. I'm typically not very interested in varieties, but WQs are my first love in numismatics and I've managed to put together a couple of raw, gem, untoned sets over the years of the silver issues of these coins and they look great in Capital Plastics holders or Classic Whitman albums.

On some of your images it appears you may be so close to the coin that you are in an area that the camera cannot focus. On others there is either camera shake (taking hand held shots is tough) or glare from the lights. There are several threads on the boards that have pointers listed on how best to acquire images with whatever camera or phone you might use and if you search for these you may be up and running in no time with crisp images. One of our board members (Mark Goodman) published a book on numismatic photography and many of us learned quite a bit from the publication.

    Good luck!

Well, that explains my lucky guess. I think I might have the same one. Pulled mine from a mint set.

Yep got mine from a mint set as well! Working on getting better camera. My digital scope takes good up close pics but my phone wouldn't focus. Was looking at them with microscope seen the oddities and looked it up was pretty cool find thought it looked like at least 66 so had it graded still got alot to learn but still very nice finds!!

    Welcome aboard.

My pictures aren’t the greatest in the world but they’re a quite a bit better than yours. With a newer smartphone and natural lighting you should be able to take halfway decent pictures. I also use an inexpensive tripod. Play around with the distance, lighting, and the zoom features on your phone and you should be a semi-expert in no time.

I bid on a 1970 DDO FS-101 this week on GreatCollections. Didn't know enough about it to go higher and win, but I liked it.
Think I should have kept going?

I don’t know enough about Washies either but I think you could do much better on the grade. Apparently it must be worth quite a bit more in MS65 typical mint set quality.
