NEWP 1695 Austria Taler AU 58

Picked this one up in the recent Stacks Bowers Auction. The toning really stood out and the various Leopold I talers have become my favorite coins to collect.

Also picked up these 2 Spanish Netherlands De Liefde shipwreck coins in the auction as well. Amazing to think these coins were in the ocean for 250 years.

I saw that piece, it's really nice for a 58 and you got it for a good price! I love these thalers as well, lots of great detail and reasonably priced for such old, big silver coins. Here's one of mine (coin is darker in hand but pops under the light):

Thanks!, yeah I was happy I got it for what I did. I had bought an AU 55 example on EBay a few weeks ago for a surprisingly low accepted offer but can’t bring myself to part with either! I love the toning on your’s!
