1878 7tf rev 78 morgan vam question

Was looks at the reverse of this morgan. Any idea what these lines that look to be outlines of additional leaves are?

I believe they are PMD, but they are unique.... can you tell if they are raised or incuse?? Cheers, RickO

Those are die polishing lines.

Die gouges are listable features. Those will aid greatly with attribution. I've seen them on numerous occasions.

I went thru all the options listed on Vamworld. No Reverse matches this. Are die gouges not a VAM variety?

they are. this one is listed but dont recall the number off the top of my head.

vamworld is a shadow of its former self due to wiki closing down many sites.

i'll take a look briefly.

in the future ALWAYS post an obv/rev shot. saves a lot of wear and tear on those of us that can help.
