Question about CAC

If a Standing Liberty Quarter is graded by a TPG as Full Head AND has a CAC sticker, is the CAC sticker also verifying that the coin is a Full Head? I am not knowledgeable about CAC. Thanks.

Asked and answered but, it is CAC-related, so I suppose this thread could gain another 100 replies.

No as the CAC is just for the grade not the FH designation.

That’s incorrect. CAC takes designations Into account in its assessments, though they ignore the plus in the plus grades. The question has been asked of CAC by numerous people and answered the same way, each time.

In addition to what CAC has told people, at various times, they have a multitude of sight unseen offers posted. it wouldn't make any sense to ignore the designations, when assessing coins and making offers on them. Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep.

@Mfeld is correct. There would be no FH CAC bids if CAC ignored the designation.

Yes. Cac stickers A and B coins in the grade range. C coins no sticker.

Excellent question and the answer to the affirmative makes sense. Does anyone know if same is true for major variety attributions on the label?

I think a better question might be if an SLQ does not have the FH on the holder but CAC believes it to be FH would they give it a Gold sticker? If so, how could one tell if the Gold sticker referred to the grade or the designation?

The best thing about this thread is a jom sighting. Hope you are well

Thanks...doing OK. No coin shows though. I still think there won't be one (ie Long Beach) until next year sometime. Bummer...

That’s not a better question.😉 Gold stickers are awarded based on grade - not designation - opinions. They have nothing to do with coins without designations that CAC feels, deserve them.
