That is a very nice gold coin.... slabs are not of interest to me, but that coin would have had me loading up a snipe...or if a BIN, I would have snatched it. Cheers, RickO
I have had good luck cherry picking stuff at early hours of the morning here in the eastern time zone.
That way stuff listed just a few hours ago can be yours for the picking cause not many other collectors are doing this.

Same here. I found lots of nice stuff when I had to be at work at 5 AM 20-25 years ago. Not too many cherrypickers were up and about at 3:30 AM. Of course there were far fewer people looking back then, too.

Nice doily!
I hate to yell, but....FANTASTIC!

I’m envious....
"Got a flaming heart, can't get my fill"
That's a looker!!
Undescribed as in the listing didn't advertise doily?
Not listed as doily AND priced as generic gold...
Dang, I have been looking for that exact coin for a type set. Sorry I missed it, but I am happy for you!

So did you get up at 3am to go to the can and checked the bay? Peace Roy

I would say that of the 41 doilies I own, this holder is in the best shape. Probably the first time it has seen the light of day since it was graded.
That's a nice coin!
Hmmmm...that might be worthy of a YOU SUCK! especially if you paid just a generic gold price.

Dayum, I wished I had gotten on the 'bay before you did.
Wow, congrats!
Looking for Top Pop Mercury Dime Varieties & High Grade Mercury Dime Toners.
Even the coin is impressive. Got to say, I am a bit envious.
For those curious (yes, I already checked the seller's other listing hoping for another Doily find!):

Wow what a fantastic pickup!
Extremely nice, easily a 64 by today's standards. I'd get it off to New Jersey, it should come back with a gold bean.

Now listen boy, I'm tryin' to teach you sumthin' . . . . that ain't no optical illusion, it only looks like an optical illusion.
My mind reader refuses to charge me....
Very nice!! I'd like to see how that one does at CAC
That’s a very nice purchase.
Jumps from $1065 in MS63 to $1235 in MS64. A CAC sticker would add another 10-15%. I leave the doily premium on large gold coins to "professionals."
Very, very cool and you are one lucky guy that I didn’t see that one🤩
Nice addition for sure👍👍
Sweet find!

I'm still a fan of those simple, clear gaskets. I'm not sure why PCGS moved to the ones with multiple concentric rings.
ANACS still uses clear gaskets like this.
