It was time to switch things up.
I'm very happy with it. Seller has sold me very nice coins in the past. It was an okay ebay price, considering what these things have been going for lately.
I didn't aim for the OGH, but again, it just kinda happened. There are some very nice coins in these things. This seller carries nice gold so it's no surprise OGH keep showing up.
I'm just happy to support them during times like this and keep people working.
It's a very nice 63 IMO. I'm very glad I didn't opt for a junk one and a nice one.. getting this bad boy then shooting for the moon, instead.
I appreciate everyone's continued valuable advice (thank you).
Hope you like it!!

Very nice looking Eagle. Plenty of luster left on that one. Great score!
I saw that coin sitting on ebay and thought there was too much chatter on it for my taste for the grade.

It’s a relatively common coin and for roughly the same price or slightly more I would prefer buying one with a CAC sticker based on auction pictures only.
Very attractive coin. The tick marks are minimal for a 63. I've seen MS64's in top tier slabs that are more baggy than this coin.

Agreed, I'd of gave her a 64 all day long.
The whole worlds off its rocker, buy Gold™.

Wooooha! Did someone just say it's officially "TACO™" Tuesday????
Retiring at 55, what day is today?
I like gold eagles... and this one has a bit of chatter, but graded properly. Cheers, RickO
I like it

Congratulations, nice for the grade. I like it a lot.
it's crackers to slip a rozzer the dropsy in snide
Put me in the like group.
It was so bad you got tired of looking at it until someone else bought it? ;-)
I had it in my watch list and couldn't justify at the price, so it eventually fell off for awhile.
I put the entire series aside because I was sick of seeing 64, 64+ with spots or little puddles of who-knows. There is a 64+ with a bean that has a black scorch looking mark on it that takes up about 1/15th of the front of the coin lol.
That might be fine for some, but in the grand scheme of things, I'd prefer chatter over spotting or discoloration for sure. There is just a ridiculous number of these things.
The last part is the most important part. I really like how honest these holders are.
Indeed! Nothing to go super head over heels for, but, it sure does beat a random BU and maybe a 64 later. I'm very happy to start the series with this piece and build from here instead :-)
The beans have all been +$300-$500 on ebay and I'm okay waiting for a gem, if that is the case. I've been very unimpressed with the higher end of this market and the quality.
There's a lot of nice pieces but a lot of them have deal breaker problems. Bean or no bean, a problem coin is a problem, and I'm not okay overpaying for a sticker if it means nothing. There's been a lot of them lately and I am just tired of sorting through garbage for months.
I'm okay settling mid range with chatter as a place holder in a type set, rather than scorch marks and puddles and gashes or pits on a much more expensive piece that might not even be much better.
Unfortunately, the hunt for this one wasn't as fun as others.
I love this series and that is a very attractive coin.
