Brasher Doubloon Article on bloomberg.com

Not a whole lot of meat to the story, but I was surprised when I saw this article today in a daily 'brief' email I get...
https://bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-06-02/first-u-s-gold-coin-may-fetch-15-million-in-private-sale?

Always cool to see a coin story in the 'mainstream' media.

I was able to see one up close at the 2014 ANA convention. Pretty cool. They struck some novodels at the convention as well.

This is a very historical piece. But $15 million?
I'll stick with my Alfred S. Robinson copy by my man, Merriam:

It fits more with my core collection, and I still have $14,999,000 to blow on chicks and booze

I'm tempted to add that one to my collection of Sun Over Mountains coins.

Holding this coin in my hand and having my daughter hold it in her hand...and taking some cell phone pics was a really neat experience I will never forget. This was at Winter FUN 2014. B)
It did not sell for anywhere close to what it should have in my view. Maybe the timing was just a bit off?

I remember reading Walter Breen's book; he was so disappointed to discover that the coin in the movie was a replica.

If the new owner of this piece would care to contact me after the sale, I have an artifact concerning it I would be happy to give to you.
