Question for the error folks here on a unique looking Lincoln rev

Not sure what to make of this Lincoln rev, in the area between the columns there is a "T" showing. This is not my coin just asking for someone else so I do not have the coin to examine so I cannot answer any questions about it. I originally though maybe a clash, another theory could be plating bubbles or a dropped letter. He isn't sure but thinks the area is flat which would rule out a dropped letter, clash or bubble, so I'm leaning towards just a perfectly aligned stain. Anyway just wondering if @FredWeinberg or one of the other error experts has any ideas.

zinc corrosion. That is the zinc not being prefect when plated with copper and or exposed to environmentals after minting.

Probably not a dropped letter, and is just coincidental scrape or "toning" as you suggested.
I don't think previous responses read what your question about and are discussing the plating bubbles on the coin.

Not a dropped letter - my first thought was the T from Liberty,
but it doesn't line up at all.
Pareidolia, imo
Coincidence?

right

The ole' "asking for a friend" ploy ...
I thought of a dropped letter as well, but too bad it's not.
The surfaces are pretty neat, however.

Thanks for the thoughts everyone, intriguing for sure and I suspect it will boil down to a mark or toning that just happened to align and look like a letter.

Sounds like a job for Indiana Jones. "Indiana Jones: and the Search for the Source of the Mystery "T".
Certainly gets one's attention... but I agree with Fred W. - Cheers, RickO
