Him and so many others. I try to keep track of the number of MISSING IN ACTION members. I can't keep up. But today a one time prolific contributor showed up and posted. I'd forgotten all about him!
I understand about all the recently banned members........but the other MIA's??????????

He was living in the back of his comic book store until the fire and now he's living with Howard and Bernadette, and sometimes Raj.
Well, he WAS...but since they went off the air, he's probably homeless.
All comments reflect the opinion of the author, even when irrefutably accurate.
People come, people go. Seems that once this forum became more enforced and the open forum feel went away many posters left on their own, perhaps seeking a less restricted environment.

The original "Open Forum" went away around 15+ years ago. Now that was crazy. You needed to be very thick skinned, good with a "gun," and quick on the draw....or you got roasted alive.

what coinbuf said. people as a whole don't like to be controlled and when they individually reach their limit, they leave. since I've been here as a member there's been a dance between regulation and open expression which moves like a metronome. right now it's on the regulation side of things. until that changes things will continue to shrink.
On the flip side...cat-herder comes to mind.
People come and go, activity rises and falls....Lost some when the last software change took place. Of course, life gets in the way too....Major lifestyle changes often happen without warning...Lately we have had a few members return after long absences... so it goes both ways. Cheers, RickO

I recently have added around 150 ,make that 100, screened some out, Semi to full proof-like Jeff nickels, 1938 to 1964 and I've been battling the differences between lustrous and proof-like fields and surfaces. Your article has heled put this in some perspective. What's more daunting......where no proofs were minted from 1943 to 1949, I guess they just didn't make that much of an effort preparing the dies or coin blanks to add any kind/level of proof-likeness to any coins during that period of time/years. But once I find some time, my plans are to add a few more photos of PL coins from that era from that recent purchase.
I didn't know a coin of this caliber could exist but here it is.
