I followed my gut.

I do not usually collect Barber material except for circulated stuff in my dansco albums, and a handful of nicer examples that have caught my eye over the years. I am a Morgan fella, through and through, although I must admit that I have been dabbling more in US type in recent months. I saw a coin that caught my eye on eBay, a 1910 Barber Quarter, NGC PF65 CAC. Looking through the sellers pictures, I thought it had potential, so I placed it onto my watch list, and messaged the seller. His BIN price was too rich for my blood, so I bid on it.
I then did some pricing research, and found some pictures from an earlier sale of the coin, along with a high hammer price, that hinted it could be something truly special. I pondered for a day or two, and decided to make a run at it. I came up with a max bid. I bided my time, took my shot with 6 seconds left in the auction, and won it for well north of 20% under my max bid.
I drop shipped it to my favorite photographer who received it today, and gushed over it.
I guess blind squirrels do find a nut once in a while. With no further ado, here are the images he provided me.

There are times when, against all good reason, you just have to follow your gut. I have done so several times and have mostly come up a winner; most recently on that fire-damaged $2.5 Indian.
You certainly did score on this one.
Cheers
Bob
I am not sure what BCC means.
Here is a picture from the listing.

Looks like your gut, and your research skills really paid off. Very nice. So many proof Barbers have been dipped to an early death. Not this one. Well done!
