1943-S MS66 Jefferson Rattler newp. Waaaaaaay overpaid but whatcha gonna do.

Yes, I way overpaid for this.......but I really wanted it. It's been a while since I've been able to add to my mini hoard of MS Jeffersons in the old Rattler holders so I wasn't going to let this one escape. This brings me to 38. Thank you Kindanewish for the heads up on this. The search is ongoing! These are the sellers pics.

Looks like you were willing to pay even more (as you placed two bids within a minute of the auction ending). I think you got a bargain as the history of these in rattlers demonstrates.
Looks very clean and lustrous. Congrats on a nice acquisition!
I suspect you are collecting the slab when the photo orientation is to read the slab label,
rather than to read the legends on the coin!
Yes. I started collecting MS Jeffersons in the 1st gen Rattlers a few years ago. Yes, I bought the holder BUT it had to have the right coin in it.

Well that is just awesome!
It is so satisfying to see that this coin got to where it belongs.
Overpaying for plastic is not unusual (myself be guilty of this) but you gotta do ot when the goods are available. I'm happy to see this coin got to you!
Thank you Ray!

Beautiful Jeff. Looks like a 67 to me.
Real nice!
Congrats. And sorry for bidding early.
Ah, you didn't over pay if it made you happy.
Sweet !!!
Overpaying for a coin that you will enjoy having in your collection for years to come is money well spent. To me, there is value in enjoyment.
That is a very nice Jefferson and lots of luster too.... Cheers, RickO
Neat project. Jefferson's were my first coin collection.

I don't collect Jeffersons but I do love the war nickels (and have a set in a capital holder).
This one looks wonderful. Congrats.
As for overpaying...well, the price guides use sales for their data. Maybe you helped bump its value?
Lance.
Overpaying implies there’s another one available at a lower price. Nope, not in a rattler, and not that nice.
Hope it looks just as good, or better, in hand. Nice addition - congrats.
If we were all the same, the world would be an incredibly boring place.

Very lustrous!
Great pick up on that cool holder
