I am waiting for some model house kits for my train set that are coming from Mother Russia, they left Sheremyetevo Airport on a flight to New York on April 29th and then seemingly dropped off the face of the earth or got abducted by those aliens that are harassing US Navy FA-18's off the Atlantic coast.

Most of the mail from outside the US ends up staged in CA and needs to clear customers. They might be holding packages 14 days before touching them? At least yours has already been recognized as accepted by the USPS. Many end up with one of their shipping (logistics) partners and wait to clear customers before USPS accepts them.
A package I ordered recently left a facility in NJ (after crossing the country in 3 days) and arrived nearly 2 weeks later in Long Island. Several other packages I ordered while waiting arrived first.
So far to this point I have had zero problems with sending and receiving packages since all of this madness started a couple months ago, and I have mailed more packages in the last couple months than I have sent in the last two years.
I have a relative that works for the Post Office, and he told me the lack of flights is impacting most package deliveries... Adding significant delays....Cheers, RickO
I live in a very small Pennsylvania town and my Mail Carrier told me she has never seen anything like this. She said they have three to five times more packages than their worst Christmas rush. On line ordering is going through the roof.

Our building just had peak in Dec. Peak 2018 was max capacity of 35k for one day. 2019 capped 60-65k.
They're regularly running 75k+ the last 3 months on 25% capacity with broken equipment and late trucks and no/late flights. We've never had shifts overlap and work around the clock until now.
On a local level some of my USPS packages are being dropped off 8am scanned at 2am-5am one or two days later. I've switched offices and cities/counties and it's all doing the same thing.
I might stop shipping for awhile. I have 2 restricted states that order my products frequently and leave me at a 4% return/aggravation rate. I'm fluttering around 13-15% as of this morning.
People are just losing their minds and canceling payments because of the post office. If there was ever time for me to step back for a bit, it's now, and I think I'd be the better for it.
I am still waiting for a coin binder I ordered April 17, the tracking says it's in transit. The longest transit I ever saw. It must be sitting somewhere
Yeah....it will show up...eventually.
Any "hotbed" of virus right now will likely result in super slow movement though.....so, that would definitely include CA and NY
It's not the USPS fault; understaffed and no funding. I'm experiencing delays in my FedEx shipments also. Everything is over loaded and moving slow. Eventually things will show up. Sorry for your troubles folks.
I've been waiting for a package from Russia that left Sheremetyevo airport back in April. Not a numismatic item but actually some custom kits for my model railroad. Also have had a couple of purchases from China that went AWOL. Those are not trackable, but the Russian package was until it got to the USA.

Small package, 10 days from San Diego to So. Cal.
Just went back & forth between distribution hubs. Had nothing to do with lack of flights or the economy.

You will get it.
Some mail is very slow right now, other mail goes right thru tho.
I sent an Express mail envelope to my son in Thailand. 5-7 days delivery. One month later, still hasn't arrived. International mail is very slow.

I got a package from Canada 4 months after shipped a few years ago
I vote yes but mail hits quicksand in CA lately.
That's been my experience anyway.

You should get it soon and if not, ebay has you covered if you bought it through them. I would contact USPS if important.
This usually shows more tracking info than ebay...

I am noticing a significant delay of 7-10 days on top of everything else. Peace Roy

I had several items ordered after this one that arrived on time so thats why I am concerned.
I have noticed Amazon packages are coming more faster now then a few weeks ago. I know they use Amazon private carriers though not USPS.
I ordered a pair of Koni Shocks from a company in PA. They shipped it UPS out that afternoon and it came the next day.👍

Waited a month for an Ebay purchase from Germany. Yours too will eventually get there.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

It arrived on Saturday!!! Was super surprised but didn't show any tracking information to Sunday.
I'd open a case with usps when an item is more than a few days late. It helps looping parcels get to their destination.
They want a 400% price increase for the same crappy service.

I just received my package after 3wks.
I had a package leave Kiev, Ukraine on Apr. 29. It just showed up at ISC New York on June 5. Waiting for it to get across the country now...

I shipped a package to Italy May 23 through the new ebay international shipping. The estimated delivery is showing July 15!
I ordered a couple of batteries on eBay from China for an old camera. Total cost was $4 and the order was placed April 13th. They arrived last week!
