1962 D Roosevelt FB? MS worth submitting?

Looks FB to my eyes, but I cannot comment on the grade. Too difficult to tell from the images. Unless it would make a 67, I don't think it would be worth sending in.

I think the cheek hits would likely be 64 max 65 territory.

Thanks, just a little excited since most of the early 60's mint set coins I have are weak strikes. I checked the nickles, none are close to FS. Since I have time, I will just do some research into each denomination and slowly learn anything special to check for. If the Franklin is FBL then hopefully I will be able to sort out the potential grade as well.

I think the area to the right is something the lighting caused. I have several magnifying glasses, including a 20x, so examined that area after seeing how the pictures came out which are about 7x I believe. WIth LCSs closed I will just wait it out to get some eyes on it.

Thanks, those do have a lot of marks, especially on the reverse. Plus mine has a more defined bottom band, and most of the torch is separated, including below the bottom band.

I agree with @AUandAG... the upper band, right side, looks as if the bands merge...could be lighting, but if so, the bands must be weak right there. And graders will not be using 20x magnification. Cheers, RickO
