Anticipation is a good thing...Then the bubble bursts.
Hey guy's, staying well I hope? Here I am, like many of you guys. Waiting, hoping, getting excited and feeling the "anticipation ". Yes, I'm talking about waiting for my coin to come back from our Host. You have to admit, waiting is actually more fun sometimes than the actual event to come about. Isn't this true in other things as well? Remember, as kid when you couldn't wait to go to that certain place, then when you got there, the thrill seemed to be gone? Lol. That's why I say, "anticapation" is a good thing! ![]()

I let this thread sit awhile . . .knowing it would blow up into 50-100 posts . . . .and NOTHING !!!
Seriously . . . . .I sit and wait and hit 'refresh' dozens of times a day when I get that feeling I may be able to see grades pop. And even leaving the post office after mailing a TPG package . . . I start to get the internal clock ticking . . .

I love travel and it's always fun to have tickets purchased...... This year, I've done nothing but cancel trips I was looking forward to. I'm now sitting on lots of airline credit with nowhere to go.
It's great to feel like a child at Christmas once again.
It's making me wait.

Let's just go ALL THE WAY!

Actually, I'm waiting to send a submission TO our host. I figure they must have had an influx of submissions so I figured I'd wait until it slows down.
But I really DO want to get them there and back! I'm anticipating sending them around the end of the month. At that point I will be having REAL PCGS anticipation!

Send them, NOW! Waiting to wait makes no sense.
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

I know what you mean and then when the grades do pop up! I hurry up and look away and then wait until I get home where I can sit down and get comfortably prepared for the results. Those few hours of anticapation are the most exciting for me.
I'm subconsciously happy the rest of the day
Reminds me of when as kids sending out a $1.00 or box tops for cereal premiums. Toy boats, decoder rings, candy, etc. Even opening up the Cracker Jacks box with anticipation of what the toy inside was elicited excitement.
OT, but let me tell you about anticipation.
I've been waiting months for the darn golf courses to open here in Ontario Canada.
Today is the first day the government is allowing us to golf.
Plenty of new rules though.
To keep it coin related, maybe I'll use my Doubleeagle gold coin as a ball marker on the greens.

"I only golf on days that end in 'Y'" (DE59)
I get a chuckle out of the 'anticipation posts' here....It seems patience is not a strong suit among coin collectors...Cheers, RickO
That bites, plus you guys already have a short season. The courses I play never shut down. I feel a revolt coming on in certain places particularly in certain states and/or provinces where...Well, lets just say where certain minds cannot function properly because of their particular alignment or placement relative to a sitting position.
I have a batch in for grading ATS. Went the economy route and its a 30 day wait at least. Arrived the end of April, so wont hear till at least the end of this month.
Yep!
Same time for me! Hopefully, June 1?

It's the 1864L. Indian Cent RPD Snow-1
I was hoping for a 5 or 6 grade. Got a 3. Oh well, still happy with my find. The interesting Snow variety makes the acquisition all worth it. I'll post when I receive it. They shipped it today.

Ketchup.
Well, it should be a win with the recent surge in silver...

Thank you for noticing. I really was getting them for the long term because they are so damn cool but I can be so damn impatient.
...here’s to squeezable ketchup bottles during lockdown
Wanted to Bump my old thread just to let you guy's know-w-w, YES, the "Anticipation" has kicked in! Lol.

Sure, It's only been 3 days since I sent my Silver Eagle in but that usual Anticipation is doing it's job. Also, I might add, not only getting excited about getting it back, and hoping it comes back at least a MS68 ? Unfortunately, along with the enjoyment of waiting, comes the anxiety knowing it could come back in a "Questionable Color" title or worse a lost in the mail scenario? Oh well, that's the chance I took going in, I realize that. Ur-rg-g-g. The suspense is killing me! Not really but I thought I might add some drama to the thread? Lol Let ya guy's know when I know. Thanks.

--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line.Oh, one more thing... I wanted to add, concerning the latter words I posted on my OP post. About the words, " Then the bubble bursts..." That was mainly about my previous submission, the 1864L Indian. How, at the time, I was disappointed when the coin was graded a AG 03 instead of the 5 or 6 I wanted. Boy o' boy, how things turn out sometimes? Knowing now that PCGS gave me that AG 03, I'm far more satisfied and happy than if I did get that 5 or 6! The AG 03 grade, put me in the lowest grade category for that certain Variety! Which to me is GREAT! My coin now is in a class by itself. Lol.
