Real nice coin!
Very nice dime Jon and interesting variety...was the small D a font previously used? Cheers, RickO
It's a Quarter Rick.
I don't know the story on the different size mint marks.
Neat!
@DIMEMAN ....
I actually knew that Jon.... Sorry, so used to commenting on dimes, my fingers just typed it...Color me embarrassed....Cheers, RickO
Nice Variety! Yours is a Late Die State with die chip bridging the Mint Mark and Tail.

Cool variety!
The Small D is the one used on cents 1911-on, nickels 1912-on, Dimes and halves 1916-on and quarters 1917-on. Not sure on the gold without looking. I suspect that in 1916 an Engraver doing dime and half Dies used that punch on a quarter die before being told to keep using the old large D.
Very cool!
