Would this be considered an error coin ?

I just couldn't resist. I guess it's getting a little boring around the house.

It looks like something that may have been offered for sale at F. W. Woolworth's in the 1960's or 1970's. Hard as it may be to believe, many five and dime stores of that era had such coins for sale (along with lots of folders and albums). This one is obviously just a packaging mistake.

mechanical error is a funny way of saying "internal malfunction".

Paying more than face value for that coin would most certainly be an error. :D

Lest we forget a nickel for the flip.

Super rare double error- off metal nickel struck on cent dies.

    Collector, occasional seller
