    Nice piece, congrats!

Always buying nice toned coins! Searching for a low grade 1873 Arrows DDO Dime and 1842-O Small Date Quarter.

Nice dime... I have looked for one of those since it was 'discovered' here...Had some people pick up 1919 Mercs at various shops in their area (they are non-collectors) at the time, before it became widely known....no luck. Still looking though... ;) Would be a great cherrypick...Cheers, RickO

    That's a very nice example!

I am not sure which is more amazing; that the variety was discovered so late after production, or that no MS examples have been certified. Great variety!

Do you think it can be seen in AG to G condition?

Ooh yes - I have pictures of 31 of the 32 known, it's visible even on the certified FR2 piece.

    FR:

    One of the AGs

    One of the Goods

Edit - I'll throw the other grades in here:

    VG:

    Fine:

    VF:

    XF40:

XF45: (Note - this coin ALSO has machine doubling which is not a PUP for the DDO in general. Above WE in the motto is most visible upward and slightly to the left, but other parts of the coin shows machine doubling as well)

    AU Details/Environmental Damage:

@kuwegg57 The F-12 is the 4th highest straight-graded example out there. I have it in the census as #27 - you were the winner last month, or has it changed hands again?

    27) PCGS F-12 - New to census May, 2019. Sold 4/23/20 Heritage's Central State Auction - $3,240
    Cert: 545047.12/37354680
    Stage B

It still amazes me that no coin graded higher than xf45 has come forward yet. (straight graded)

There is one for sale on eBay for $1500 right now and seems to be in the right range, give or take a couple hundred.
