Time to gather around and share our scary coin/numbers/time stories

I was in my final year at university, and I worked as a TA for a language prof (this meant teaching one-hour sessions multiple times a week). I basically lived in the (known to be haunted) Humanities building. On Tuesday after my final class and before my first lesson of the evening, I was in the staff room heating up my cheap microwave dinner. A woman I had never seen before came in, obligatory "oopsie... lemme just scooch past ya... and check the time on the coffee machine."

Now I found it odd that this university employee came here just to check the time on the coffee machine, you don't have a phone/ computer/ watch/ clock? But who am I and my Lean Cuisine to judge? She looks at the time on the coffee machine and says:

"Nah. That can't be right," she mumbles out loud. She twists around and stares at me. "What time is it?"

Me: "uh, it's 5:37".

Her: "hmmm. . . 5 minutes fast. Ok".

With that, she left, and although a bit odd, I didn't dwell on the interaction. That is until one week later, Tuesday evening, I was again heating up my food when she enters, obligatory' "OPPSIE... lemme just scooch past ya and check the time".

"Nope. That can't be right. What time is it?"

I look at my phone. It is precisely 5:37. I tell her, and once again, she says, "hmmm... 5 minutes fast—ok" and leaves.

I am deeply unsettled—the microwave dings. I take my lean cuisine and quickly head upstairs.

Never saw that woman again.

My dog wakes up at exactly 3:16 every morning.

No spooky stories here... spent nights in haunted houses, tracked down weird legends (i.e. Banshee woman, ghost hitchhiker), and nothing... all hype and imagination. Always fun though...Cheers, RickO

Look to the right of Kennedys profile, or back of his head. See if you can see someone else there?

Here's my story. Not scary but certainly strange.
Many year's ago, I frequented a B+M shop in one of a nearby suburb. Approx. 8 miles away. I went there mainly because they had an excellent inventory. This was when I first started out collecting. Probably my second visit, while in the shop, I overheard a customer trying to sell the owner some coins. The owner wouldn't budge. So the customer proceeded for the door. I curiously followed him. I met him at his car which was in front. I kindly told him that I would certainly be interested in his collection. Then all of a sudden, I heard a yell! It was one of the store's workers. He was shouting at me saying, "alright, that's it. You just cut your own throat. Don't ever come back to our establishment! Ever again." I was stunned. I was new to this. I truly didn't realize what I just done was one of the hobby's cardinal sins. I tried to go back in the store to explain myself but he didn't want any part of it! I think he just didn't like me? I was sad and disappointed. I admired that coin shop. Oh well.
About 2 yrs. Later. I was searching for some B+M shops closer to my home. I so happen to find one, a new shop, I never went before. This shop so happened to be the same shop that threw me out a couple of years ago. They moved. Only this time that worker that threw me out didn't work there any more. This is the same shop I been going to today! The owner gives me the freedom to check behind her counters and cherry pick anything. Kinda scary and strange to me. 😎

Oh no! :o It's the Lady of the Accented Hair!

If she appears to you in a 1964 proof half dollar that does NOT have accented hair, she pulls you in and you are trapped forever! :'(

Then she cuts off your hair and adds it to Kennedy's hair to make accents. :#
When the deed is done, she moves on to claim her next victim...

So, if ever you find an Accented Hair Kennedy, you may look at it without fear, but keep it inside a velvet box to muffle the cries of the soul trapped inside...
