    I still don’t get those offers. Today I got the email offer for PayPal credit card. If that’s all I’m going to get, I’ll discontinue the offer emails. They send way too many anyway,.

    might get a 7 percent once or twice per quarter, the 10 percent seems to be a thing of the past

    So true. And it's hard to get excited about 5%, it doesn't make that much difference.

    I remember a few years ago getting a coupon for 15% off but it was only good for 1 item so you had to be very selective. But there was a time when I got a 15% eBay bucks offer. I spent a couple of days trying to buy everything I could. It felt like buying wholesale.

    5% is still 5%. But, to your point, it isn't enough to go looking to hard for something to buy.

    0% doesn't cover the taxes. So it's still 5% more than you would get otherwise.

    You're better off using the coins category (just not the bullion category) as that will also be eligible for eBay bucks. Using the musical instruments category will trigger taxes for almost every state (as those are legally subject to tax) while coins will have quite a few states that won't have taxes (multiple states have no taxes on coins). The non coins categories are best used when there was a coupon that excluded coins (eBay bucks don't exclude coins-just the bullion subcategory).

    @jmlanzaf you are right, but normally is 1, not 0% ;)

    My point, however, was that while I welcome the 5%, it is not tempting enough. But if I had something on my list I would wait until the bucks come as opposed the 1%...

    Ya know...other than 1 time when I maxed em out on bullion...ebay bucks has not influenced my buying. When they time out with something I will buy...YEAH!

    For the 1st time since I can remember...My buying account didn't get the offer and my selling account did. Been over a year since both didn't get the offer.

    10% would compensate for the tax many states are charging now. I'm not happy when I see $20 or more charged at checkout.

    Ebay doesn't even get 10% on most sales. They lose money on those offers.

    I echo what others have said, and while I do welcome the 5% Bucks offer, it just misses the 5.1% state sales tax I am now charged. So...it is almost like going back to the old days of no state sale tax.

If ebay doesn’t charge me 10% to sell on the auction, I pass the lower price along to the buyers. Ultimately just looking to net a certain amount on the coins, and hopefully the ebay bucks make this work for some buyers advantage.

    The fees might be lower but for many there will be 5%-10% in sales tax for that category while there would be 0% in the coins category. I and most others will just not buy a 1,400 platinum coin with an extra $140 in taxes when there would be $0 in taxes and still the same 5% in eBay bucks in the coins category. Just something to think about.

    Edit: and if you’re looking for the lowest selling fee, then you can’t get any lower than the 0% for athletic shoes.
