Picking your knows

I like to pick my knows, specifically I pick variety coins I know and I thoroughly enjoy it! During this lockdown period I have had a lions share of time to browse digital offerings of coins and delve into the world of Buffalo nickels. So far I located over a dozen major varieties and some minor ones too.
Today’s most exciting event is the arrival of a pcgs Labeled 1913 D “type 1” in XF40. When I first saw it I liked the reverse tone and felt Silly for buying a lower grade for about $15 less earlier this week. Well, I looked again and could not buy it fast enough, the reverse seemed questionable. Maybe it was the wrong photo, I thought.
(For those unfamiliar with buffalo nickels, 1913 had two reverse types, 1&2. The type 2 D issue is worth about 4 times the value of a type 1)
In conclusion I would like to express gratitude for the many tips and morsels of great advice found among the users here, whom have immeasurably helped me become a better collector and variety hunter.
Best wishes,
Rocco
Photo from collectors alliance website type 1 us the Buffalo standing on a “mound” or hill (whatever it’s called) the type 2 has a distinctive line under the hooves and a blank area around Five Cents
Too long didn’t read: I picked a type 2 mislabeled as a type 1, the t2 is more valuable.

I believe you are saying you have a labeled type 1 that is really a type 2....Is that correct?? Cheers, RickO
Interesting. I guess the seller didn't even look at the coin they were selling.

Score!
I assume that the toning line reflects that it was Scotch taped at some point? What do you think?
