Why are the recent issues of ATBs graded by PCGS as scarce as hen's teeth?

Yes, I know that there aren't very many collectors of the graded coins, but it seems that recently, nobody is getting the regular finish coins graded at all. For example, the most recent issue - the American Samoa piece, is already listed at $399 on ebay by only a single seller.
Kinda defeats the whole purpose of making a collection of graded coins when the newest issues aren't supported by the major dealers.
Does anyone else see this the same way?

I have noticed that as well..... The more I look at my American Samoa W with the Privy mark, the more I am thinking I may send it in.....Usually do not send in these modern coins, but this one is very nice. Will think about it...It would be for preservation, and I can do that myself...Will see if I am curious enough about the 'authoritative' grade...
Cheers, RickO
Our host is tough on these grades, buy a graded one.

@derryb....Good advice, and certainly likely to do that....Cheers, RickO
Be aware that ModernCoinMart has now posted these for $199, both on eBay and on their website, with a Mercanti "signature", MS69, First Strike, but NOT DMPL, and also NOT PL.
