Yes, went back to my favorite coin shop. This time nothing really special. Lol Well, at least in the high in demand or valuable coins. I picked up a couple of Jefferson's. One a 1981s Proof with tantalizing tone which my photo's don't do justice. Also, a Wartime Nickel. The 1943p. This coin has some interesting issues. I posted some detail on the reverse. Looks like a "Lamination"?
The bad news is the debris on the coin. What can I use to help remove such gunk? I know Acetone can really damage the Nickel. Any suggestions guy's? Thanks :)

    I should add, you can dissolve it away. The surface will, however, be pitted.

    @joeykoins ....Acetone will NOT damage your coins. Acetone will remove organics...the surface exposed may not be what you like, but that will be due to the contamination...NOT the acetone. Cheers, RickO

    If I decide to dip in Acetone, can I first try to remove the heavy access debris with water and/or soap? Or will this really damage it? Or is it far beyond caring for, if I damage or not? Thanks
