More Whitman toned Lincolns

I found these hidden in my "other stuff" box yesterday, having forgotten I had them. I have another 5 or 6 that I think we're from the same album that I've posted in the past. The three in the middle are 55, 55-S, and 55-D, which was the way the holed on the album were once configured. The easiest text to read on these coins is the QUARTERS header for the quarter folders that were available. You can also read the date 1873 on the coin in the bottom row. I'll post better pictures tonight or tomorrow when I get around to talking them.

@messydesk....I guess the 1873 will be on the next post....
The cents look to be nice...How long have they been in 'storage'? Cheers, RickO
Yeah, it's blurry and on Lincoln's shoulder. The reversed 7 is easiest to see.
I took them out of the folder years ago. If I recall, the folder actually had the dates from the later 50s written in, so these were probably put in the folder they year they were minted.

You probably have some other treasures underneath all that paperwork - messydesk...
I can remember looking at early Washington quarters in a Whitman album back in the last sixties that were rimmed toned very dark almost black. For me at that time ... that toning was awesome and I still like that kind of toning to this day.
Unfortunate, they may have been quite nice once long ago.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
I like the one with the reddish toning that shows a lighter streak through the date.
It's placed perfectly.
