All the places to look for diagnostics are gone in the image. The weak "N" on the reverse looks scooped out. The coin is listed with a ? so I see nothing wrong from the seller or Ebay. It takes a strange class of folks that think they will get a "bargain."
I'm going to go out on a limb and say 'no'. Hats off to the seller, he got $50 for junk, without really being deceptive.
You Suck! Awarded 6/2008- 1901-O Micro O Morgan, 8/2008- 1878 VAM-123 Morgan, 9/2022 1888-O VAM-1B3 H8 Morgan | Senior Regional Representative- ANACS Coin Grading. Posted opinions on coins are my own, and are not an official ANACS opinion.
Not an 1877. Date configuration is wrong; most likely an 1870 or 1871. (1877s have a straight date, as do most of the 1870s (decade) Indians. The 1870 (year) and '71 have curved dates.

If you have to ask, why would you bid? Even if we said yes, would you believe it?
That's no bargain at any price, even if it is an 1877.

Wow.... I would not even take that coin for free....I find it amazing that someone paid $50 for it....Cheers, RickO
that is a horrifying piece of scrap metal
Nothing is as expensive as free money.
The 8 is lower than the first 7. It's an 1871. Still a tough coin but probably not worth the $50. closing price.
I've dug better 70's IHC. We're there Wawa parking lots back then? Peace Roy
