APMEX for common date Morgans?
resized.jpg)
Hello Everyone... have any of you used APMEX to get common date Morgans raw in XF-AU condition? Please let me know your experiences. It looks like they've separated these for "stackers"... less-than-cull; cull, VF, XF, AU, MS... etc...
Collecting: Dansco 7070; Middle Date Large Cents (VF-AU); Box of 20;
Successful BST transactions with: SilverEagles92; Ahrensdad; Smitty; GregHansen; Lablade; Mercury10c; copperflopper; whatsup; KISHU1; scrapman1077, crispy, canadanz, smallchange, robkool, Mission16, ranshdow, ibzman350, Fallguy, Collectorcoins, SurfinxHI, jwitten, Walkerguy21D, dsessom.

FYI their definitions may vary from you and in one particular instance I saw a batch in a collection of au Morgan’s and 50% or more were au details cleaned.
AMPEX or APMEX?

What @Bigbuck said.
I ordered a VG double eagle and got a cleaned XF
No direct experience, however, in the past there have been stories - even posted here - of disappointments with purchases from that source... even the site used to say, 'Coin pictured may not be the one received' or something to that effect. Cheers, RickO
I have purchased a few tubes of BU morgans and at least 65% were cleaned. If you intend on submitting coins for grading I would suggest going directly to dealers or shows where you can see what your buying before you pay. Or given current circumstances find an online dealer who posts very detailed images of individual coins and ask for more details or photos of the coins before purchasing.

As far as I'm concerned Apmex still owes me money. They sell junk silver that isn't even all there. Like, how can you get less than 100 face and be missing ounces? You have the 1 in 100 user reports of "hey cool it came out better" but then there's always "was told no slickers, got a roll of dust swept up off the floor". I can tell you precisely how much they're gonna care that the straight grade you paid thousands for is trash.
I'm good. I'm totally good on buying from them again. Their silver has sucked, their gold always sucks, their customer service sucks and their prices suck. The way they stock sucks. Their availability always sucks. It's like keeping up with a 13 year old who buys his stock off eBay.
In a world of reddit.com/r/PMsForSale and BST, who even needs that "company"? You literally find better stuff on ebay all the time for less, and you have better protections, and can see everything you're buying. There's no reason to bother using them unless you want a headache and feel bad about yourself and the hobby. I have not had a positive experience with them and I've used them now and again since 2010. I'd rather lose out on thousands than give them a dime. It's just a cascade of all the little shit too, it's not like it's anything super important. I just can't respect a business that doesn't own up to their own mistakes.
I just hate being lied to by APMEX, is that too much to ask? You're spending so much money to be treated like garbage. They can go bankrupt for all I care. They are the GSC of the bullion world.
And when the economy gets tricky they're the first ones to cut and run on bit coin. Here I am a private hobbyist with the balls to back my btc with gold/usd. Picking and choosing when you're gonna accept it based on market conditions just shows how bad of a business they really are.
