I have wanted to scan this card with the black background for a while and decided to pull the case off the wall tonight and made some fresh scans. It was a great thrill to read this thread and it is amazing I acquired this card over 3 years ago. The pop has remained constant the entire time. It was such a thrill to rip this out of the package. It puts a smile on my face just thinking about it.

    Andre

This card looks like it must have spent some time on the floor at a wrestling show. The Hogan that looked similar sold for $15 so you have to think this seller was thrilled to see a $25 offer for this card come in.

Andre is now a Pop 3. It has been over 3 and a half years since another one hit the pop report. It will be interesting to see if it was a cross over of the recent BGS 9.5 that looked nice or a fresh raw copy.

I check every day and saw there was only one new card graded in the total and that usually means a bigger card from the set and the first row said three and I had to do a triple take.

Monster card...most likely the recent BGS sale that was a 9.5. It looked great.

It definitely wasn't crossed over. Hopefully the Andre PSA 9 will come to EBAY through PWCC in the coming months. I would love to see where the market on the card is.

I remember when we were impressed when the one Andre PSA hit $2104 and now this one is at $3150 with much time to go. Great news for high grade cards and for wrestling cards........

There are 52 watchers on the card. I honestly have no clue where it will end. If I had to guess I see two major snipes colliding at the end at a very high price. This is going to be a very tough card for someone to win.

$5200 is pretty amazing for this card. Can't even imagine what a 10 would bring.

This is a new record for a wrestling card. A year or so ago I was having some dialogue with a dealer who has been active in grading this set and he estimated a PSA 9 would bring $3,500 to $4,500. I liked his answer but there wasn't any activity to go with it.

Nice to see this card bring a strong price.

In my daily pop report check I saw the 9 column uptick by one so you know it’s a good card. I said I bet that’s an Andre to myself. It was. Pop 4 now and must be a stunner.

It will be interesting to see if his collectibles get a boost from the upcoming HBO special. I just hope the SJW’s don’t watch some of the shoot interviews with guys like Bad News Allen and make a big deal out of it.

They already got WWE to remove The Faulous Moolah from a women’s battle royal.

I put in some early bids on this card but it is going to go much higher than where my bids are I think. This Andre is going to do very well because it is a very nice 8. There have only been two PSA 8's come into the pop report in the last few years so little ability for new collectors to grab a strong PSA copy. It will be interesting to see how this card finishes.

There are 74 watchers on this Andre and just yesterday it was at 35. I wonder if there is some website that is featuring cards because a similar thing happened recently with a Hogan that was auctioned off. It had over 100 watchers and that is a lot for a wrestling card. This is a great copy so I suspect it has a shot to break a $1,000 but time will tell.

Up to 116 watchers with four hours to go and up to $1,159.

No telling where this finishes. Very curious to see obviously.

There was a strong price for an Andre the Giant PSA 7 the other night too. Andre cards are picking up right now. :-)

    $620 for a PSA 7 is big.

A PSA 3 from the 1980's going for almost $200 is pretty crazy! wow!
