How many "unsearched" rolls and bags are being searched during the forced timeout?

I have some older rolls (I'm quite sure they are not truly unsearched) and even some newer date rolls but I'm not a roll searching type per say so I haven't been bored enough to pull any out, well not yet anyway lol. But it got me to thinking, are all the bored folks out there with time to kill pulling out all those ebay unsearched rolls and bags and cranking up the microscope?

Me thinks more than we'll ever know. Except for the Oybay vendors. Peace Roy

Well, I wouldn't call them unsearched, but me and my brother bought an awful lot of US and Canadian penny rolls as part of collections we acquired the last 10 -12 years. Most of the older stuff we searched when bought. But there were many modern rolls and I have been going through them, unfortunately I keep finding more and more stuffed away. Had alot of the 2009 rolls and 2010 shield rolls, been breaking them open and will take back to the bank when this is all over. It will be interesting to see how many $$ tied up in them - as they were just sitting around. Found a few Canadian penny varieties worth keeping and have been refilling the books so hopefully we can return to the local shows and sell some! Someday maybe.

I set aside a few dozen modern rolls, to go back to the bank/coinstar (the 2 years of nickel reverse change...keel boat, etc, the shield cents in 2010, some kennedy halves from 2001, some presidential dollars from the earlier part of the program, etc). I have no desire to search them myself. All are still bankwrapped and unopened...oh well. I'll probably open these up if I do the coinstar bit.

I also have 3 rolls of 1963-D dimes, that I bought on ebay from a member here over a decade ago I believe, that I haven't opened. Tempting, but as the eyes got a bit worse, I have pulled back from dimes and other small things. I'll probably sell these, at some point, still unopened. I don't have the desire to open these....I think they are cool unopened.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Since the banks are closed for walk in business, probably very few.

That's in Canadian percents. In U.S. percents it's 20% more.

I have a few unopened rolls .... only one new one (S Bat quarters)... I have two rolls of '43 steel cents (one I opened and the coins are magnificent with mint luster) and still one unopened roll of the 'then new' Sacagawea dollars... Probably will not open any of them....Though I hate unopened packages :D;) ...Well, maybe if the quarantine lasts longer than May...I have to celebrate my birthday in lock down...Fortunately, I have some Cabernet for the occasion... ;) Cheers, RickO
