New Morgan Pick Up Arrived Today

Well, it has been about a decade since I posted. I decided to share a Morgan I got today in the mail. Just starting to collect again. I love the date, 1882-s, surprisingly uncommon with deep mirrors, but readily available in MS and MSPL. Comments welcome, guess a grade if you like. Be kind to my photos, just took them with my phone to get something up. Things have changed a bit it appears. I just got a bunch of badges and one said I am ancient!😂
The obverse on this coin is essentially clean. The reverse has a few dings that only show up on the picture showing contrast.
Listen. Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.

Very nice i have the feeling shes a 64 DMPL.
I will guess 64 DMPL.
This is indeed, and weirdly enough, a tougher date in DMPL. If that is a DMPL example, it looks to be a nice one. Congratulations.

Very nice dmpl. I too just started posting after ten years. I remember you. Welcome back.
The cameo is outstanding against the mirrored fields.
I would guess MS65 DMPL
Gorgeous...
I am being conservative with MS64
BST: KindaNewish (3/21/21), WQuarterFreddie (3/30/21), Meltdown (4/6/21), DBSTrader2 (5/5/21) AKA- unclemonkey on Blow Out
I think it would just make it to MS65 DMPL. It's dang nice in any case!

Just stopping by to say, very nice Coin. I have no idea on grade.
66PL...Nice coin!

Nice coin! 65
64 DMPL.
Looks like an easy 65 to me. Possibly DMPL.
Good that you're posting and collecting again. Nice, good looking dollar.
Nice coin!
Oddly enough I thought of you earlier this week.
Here she is. You guys are good. Obverse looks 66, reverse could be a 64 or 65, IMO. The last one I had was a 65dmpl and had some reverse haze that I see on a lot of this date in pl or dmpl, this one is haze free. The coin would look fine in a 64dm or 65dm holder, it will stay as is.
09svdb, welcome back to you too.
HighRelief, good to see you again. I’ll post a coin you will remember at another time.
Flatwoods, hope it was something good.😀

Welcome back to the forum.
I love your 1882-S--the mirrors look really deep.
I still have the prooflike 1890-S $1 that I purchased from you through the BST forum a dozen years ago.
Good luck adding to your collection.
@sweetwilliet....Welcome back....Stick around, the forum is going great....Very nice Morgan.. late to the GTG, but would certainly have said DMPL...Cheers, RickO
Thanks all for the welcome back. Got plenty of time waiting to get back to work.
Bloodman, did you ever resubmit that 1890-s for the pl designation? I think it was a 64 pl but did not receive the designation when first submitted.

That's a wonderful looking coin. Congrats
Nice coin!!!
Good looking coin! A PL and DMPL morgan is on my want list.
Side question, Is the 1881-S the most common date in DMPL?
That’s one nice looking Morgan 👍
Good memory. I didn't re-submit it to PCGS to try for the PL designation, but it did received a CAC sticker. Here is the coin...
Good to see you back Sweetwilliet and posting your nice DMPL. Looking forward to seeing the coin that I will remember and most likely I am thinking it will be a Dimple
Wow that’s a beautiful coin

CoinJP, I think 80-s is the most common dmpl. You can find very clean, cameo, outstanding Dmpl examples of that date in particular, and the extra premium for the 80-s is not as great as for other dates that are pq for the grade.

Thank you. Good to know.
I would have guessed 65dmpl. Very strong for a 64.
Welcome back. Nice DMPL, Sweeeet!
