Moved into 3rd Place. 1942 Washington Quarter.

Down to 10 coins left out of 185 and this coin comes from Dr. Phillip's Collection and Before that it was in The Carnton Collection Part 2 that was sold in 2017. Looking up that name and links at the NNP Website and was amazed at the Collection of Coins this person built.
There is a wealth of information at the Newman Numismatic portal and this is the first time I have used that feature and was really surprised at all the information. Never really noticed the link on the Heritage page before. Thanks for Looking.

This is a beast of a series that is quite competitive and when you add in the varieties then it really explodes. Good work!
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
I really like those solid gasket inserts versus the current prongs. Great pick up!

Very nice quarter!!! My mom was born that year!
Me too! I didn't like the prong when they started them and still don't! But they didn't ask me...….they never do!
Great quarter, great accomplishment!

Thank's everyone for the Nice comments and I also like the old holder over the prongs. The coin in hand does pop and it was a great addition to the Set and look forward to getting a Real Picture someday. I think its also fun to keep track of who has owned these coins before me...
