Looks like a 1955, wt. 3.2, but it cant be. What is the date?

The coin is a keeper because it has a different strike,
which is also a question for another time.
I'm very interested in what you guys think.
What Year ?

Not seeing a full image of the coin, I will hazard saying it is a damaged 1955 WB Lincoln cent.
Thanks for the flash response.
But :
"Cant be"?
Not a wheat back.
Photo.
Has to be a 65 then. a 7 would be a different shape and 85 would be zinc.
Collector, occasional seller
I agree-1965.
I agree, deductions, deductioning.
Also, think about a prominite S as it has a sherif look on the kick.
But WHY ?
Why?
Maybe the coin angered the sherif, who then kicked and subsequently damaged the coin.
He was wearing steel-toed boots, so the coin rolled a long way on the pavement before it settled into a crack near a storm drain.
It received further damage from the brushes of the weekly street cleaners.
That's WHY.
But Why, when it could have been a perfect gem.
Its over my head, because its copper and could have been zinc.
I guess I'll put in a egg under a bush.
"But Why"

.
Kinda makes you wonder
First few pics look like something someone did in a "modern impressionistic" art class.....
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

With that said, is this a mule, would be the next Q&A
What is a "different strike"?
Why no pic of the full coin?
Why does it seem that all these great rarities are so heavily damaged?
As stated above, it is a mangled 1965.
Normal 65 that someone took a grinder to.
Could be. It has to be 1965 or later Cent because according to the pictures it has a Memorial Reverse.

Please feel free to request positioning.
I haven't spent enough time on these boards, so perhaps something is going over my head.
Is there a reason why we are discussing a coin that lost a fight with a lawn mower?
sarasotanumismatics.com
Obviously, it's an '85 year old '35...Shwing!
There's not a lol twice button so there!
Double - Time!
After you spend enough time here you will learn which posters; perhaps like this one; are not worth wasting your time with. No there is no good reason to discuss this coin, (imo) the op likes to play games and many folks here have lots of time on their hands to indulge the op.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
1950 S liberty vs liberty.

Edited for: Damn, that was some good wine!
Story is not my idea per some ones ATV.
My entry was AVT. But I'm easy.

That’s trippy looking 😀
How long was the train that ran over this thing?
It's not just the mutilation, this coin has some black foreign substance, too, indicating a more complicated story of defacement. It could be fun to guess exactly how this unique example came to be. Maybe stuck in tar pavement and run over for a while?
Not a good one but the OP has a swell collection of damaged and corroded coins. I am happy to see that he has begun to start his own discussion for his stuff rather than post one of his "treasures" in the middle of a discussion started by another member.
PS @emeraldATV Your images are excellent!
Early example of a work by Vincent Van Gogh, before he cut off his ear.
I imagine you will be the first to start up an album called, "Parking Lot Coins".PCGS would even present you with a "True view " category. Lol😁
"Jesus died for you and for me, Thank you,Jesus"!!!
--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line.Maybe we can petition PCGS to start a PTSD registry and we can all compete for the worst damaged coins. The OP would be hard to beat
I WOULD GUESS POTATO? did I win?
but can't celebrate the vintage.
It was probably bottled last month
@emeraldATV where do you continue to find these presumably sticky specimens?
Maybe that's a question better left unanswered
I'm embarassed to say.
Wherever it is, I think it’s time to switch gears or pedal down. Not sure which but somethings gotta give. Show us something we can look at without gagging with a spoon.
So its clutch time right ?

Best I can do, coach.
Really needs an ex-
