Bower‘s Companion Series

Dave Bowers issued these compilations of articles and highlights from Bowers & Merena’s Rare Coin Review magazines from the 1980’s. Each booklet is around 220 pages and contains 30-40 articles on a myriad of topics. I’ve held these on my shelf for some retirement reading but find they’re coming in handy during these times.

I recall seeing a photo of someone's collection of those books--on a multitier shelf unit in a bathroom, easily reachable while seated on the throne.

I read them when they were first published. I had read Adventures in Rare Coins in the early 80s and enjoyed it, so I bought these as well Unfortuneately, I can't find them on my numismatic bookshelves. They must have got lost in a move, or donated to a coin club auction years ago
