Totally agree with all of the comments about toning, questionable authenticity, etc. I still wanted confirmation, though. I want to purchase a bust dollar, and would never buy an unslabbed specimen.
Unless you are an expert yourself, you should only buy something like this already slabbed. There are too many fakes, too many doctored, etc. These days I don't think I'd buy any raw coin over $500, and probably not over $250.

Back off it. Why has it not been slabbed?
It has been slabbed. If you look down in the description area, you will see “NGC details.”
The coin has lots of detail, but it’s also been given a layer of AT, probably to hide something.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

I think he forgot to change the description and that VF details was for another coin he listed. I don't think NGC would net grade that to VF even with AT.
My guess is some of that Taco Bell napkin toning after a cleaning.
Need a Barber Half with ANACS photo certificate. If you have one for sale please PM me. Current Ebay auctions

I would think that just about any Bust series of coinage NEEDS to be certified before I take it seriously.

I bet that toning gets kicked out as QC.

I believe every comment provided so far, yet. . . still kind of like it.

Lots of doctoring these days...Lots of coins have artificial toning. Proceed w/ caution. Some of it is very hard to detect.
I'd like it a heck of a lot more if it was at least authenticated as a "details" coin...

I don't know, this vendor sells way too much non coin stuff. Rogaine! I think that's the only coin. You can do better. Peace Roy

A textbook example of cleaning and AT. Pass.
