RIP Dan "Tiny" Cross - Obituary link added at bottom

I just saw a post from Ron Landis saying that Tiny passed away. He was a great ambassador of the hobby, and a fixture, if not the mascot, of the ANA Summer Seminar, being the first person to get people at the airport. I believe his wife passed away a couple years ago. RIP, reunited, Tiny. You, your hat, and your "overhauls" will be missed.

Condolences to the family and friends of whom seemed like a real gentleman.
I’ve been noticing quite a few losses on these boards lately. It is very sad indeed.

Wow, first I have heard of it. He was a great person and will be sorely missed by me and so many others. I will definitely miss the tapping sounds from him working at his table making hobo nickels. He was always nice to talk to and such a smart a** at times which always played well with me. RIP Tiny
I did not know Dan "Tiny" Cross, but condolences to his family and friends.

Very sad news.
I did not know him but have seen pictures and read about him for many years. Based on that, he seemed like one of those larger than life characters.
My condolences to his friends and family.

I got to know Daniel at Summer Seminar. He was an enjoyable person and the moments I spent visiting with him were one of the highlights of the sessions. I was looking forward to seeing him again this summer. I have two of his Hobo Nickel creations purchased from him. I will miss you Daniel Cross.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
That is such sad news. I met Tiny at the first ANA Summer Seminar he attended. I looked forward to seeing and talking with him each year after that, and we had many great conversations. I will never forget the year at the ANA banquet when Tiny said he would shave off his beard for a, I believe it was, $2000 donation to YN scholarship program. I couldn't believe how many people come forward throwing down $100 bills, easily passing the goal. Tiny disappeared and showed back up about 45 minutes later clean shaven. A picture of that ended up on the cover of the Numismatist. He really cared about he YNs.
I will miss him and I am happy I was able to call him my friend.

I just got word from the ANA that his obituary and a "tribute wall" is online here. Memorial contributions can be made in Tiny's honor to the American Numismatic Association.
