Mandatory closure in NV....The Las Vegas Strip is deserted. Nobody on the roads. Coin shops here can continue to pay employees and if need be borrow from the SBA and then it becomes a grant if used for wages or rent. Don't have to pay it back.

My lcs in NJ is by appointment in lieu of hours. His inventory is viewable online and he does a weekly (Thurs) specials sheet where he'll hold an item for payment and shipment. Doelger's Gallery of coins in Warren NJ. Creativity at this time is a good thing. Stay healthy. Peace Roy

First part of this past week, very slow, very few people coming in: Friday however, was the start of folks coming in needing funds. Bought like 4 deals in the first 1 1/2. Saturday is my retail day, yesterday was about 1/3 of the normal folks that come in and hang out. Guy was in there fri coughing and gagging, I asked him to leave.

Uhhhh Ohhhh I one you were not within 20 feet of said cougher! Hopefully they did not have the candy.

    6 Meters =
    19.685039 Feet

    From MIT:
But according to research by scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, it’s not just the person next to us we should worry about: coughing spreads droplets as far as six metres, and sneezing as much as eight metres. These droplets stay suspended in the air for up to 10 minutes.

Does this that mean you now have to SELF QUARANTINE for 14 Days and Notify CDC for possible tracking down of ALL Customers in shop? Dunno just being paranoid! :(

Till Zi read this wonder why ITALLY is finally going on Full lockdown seems like there a bit late. I guess better late than never.

Italy’s death toll reached at least 4,825 people as of Sunday morning, according to Johns Hopkins University, making it the worst-hit country in the world. At least 53,578 people have been infected.

Maybe a ticket/fine if caught? My LCS in CT is planning on staying open, per our conversation Saturday morning.

He’s said he would keep his neon light off, but if anyone he knows stops by, he’ll buzz them in. Anyone he doesn’t know he’ll seek what they want. Doubt anyone from the city or state will realize he’s open either. He did buy 1,000 oz of govt silver from a walk-in when I was in there, so he has stock.

Whether that is a good idea to stay open, no idea. I plan on hunkering down and saving my $$$.

Horrible news on both fronts. Especially RP. He’s a patriot and a great American.

Most places it's fines not jail. Save the money for online purchases.

    You're just north of me.

I've been hunkered down for almost two weeks here.
I don't want to catch something and bring it home to my wife. Gonna try online food delivery for the first time this week.

    Back to the BST!

Were closed to the public for the time being, last week was appointment only. I'm still there my normal hours sorting things I havent had time for in years. Digging through old boxes of buys 4-5 years ago is kind of like a treasure hunt. Our ebay store and shipping guys are busy as ever with all the online sales picking up.

I do believe some coin/bullion dealer might use the Patriot Act as a means to stay open. They are deemed "financial institutions", although I hope it doesnt come to that.

Just called my lcs. He is open, but has no inventory and will pay over spot for silver. No one is selling.

As long as they can trade bullion-related items, B&Ms should do OK---bullion trading saved many of them during the last recession.
