Since I won't be able to show this at the show, I'll show it here!

Our coin club show has been cancelled, so I thought I'd just share this here.

That's a very cool tribute.
What a great exhibit!
I really enjoyed that. What man he was.
I learned he was close friends with the piano player from the Flintstones.
Cool!😎

U.S. Type Set
Very cool concept..... We could all do one for our personal collection/lives to give to our children....special dates in our lives paired with a nice coin of each date. I will have to think about this....Cheers, RickO
Nice display! Thanks to @3keepSECRETif2rDEAD for rotating it so my neck doesn't hurt.

Yes, I'm a 2nd cousin. Knew very little about Bix until 2005 and then I realized I liked his music and, though it ended sadly, his story also. Now I'm on two board of directors for his Society and Museum!

Just in case anyone is interested, here is a link to some of Bix's recordings. Bix comes in with one of my favorite solos at 1:30. The second song is "Singing the Blues" which was a Grammy winner. His collaborator, Frank Traumbauer plays a lovely saw solo and Bix come in with an answer on his cornet.

In the preceding message, I said Traumbaur plays a lovely "saw". That should have been SAX. Geesh. By the way, planning these displays is some of the most fun I have with my coins these days. My other display would have been the affects of toning, but the coins are in albums, 2 X 2's and of course TPG holders so I haven't photographed them. Oh, and thanks to the gent who turned my photo the right direction!
