Newp. 1911 $10 OGH / CAC

Was visiting my local coin shop today and this $10 gold really drew my attention. Huge luster, looks amazing in hand. You all will have to live with my poor photography skills, but the coin has quite a presence.
So here is the problem...
The rest of my gold type set is in gold shield holders with trueviews. I have a strong urge to get this reholdered so I can get a good image of it that will match the rest of my set. The old holder it's in now also has some scratches etc.
But how much will that affect the value? People like these old green holders right? I would also lose the sticker in the process. Could get it re-stickered but I wouldnt bother with the hassle and risk of it traveling cross-country again.
I am happy with this one. I think it's a keeper. Just not sure if I should get it reholdered or not.

That’s a beauty Chris. I’d leave it as is.
You can have them image it through the holder, but I'd have a tough time having an OGH reholdered withTHAT coin.
I like it in its OGH. Good photos
Really like it - super luster, very solid for the grade.
Great looking coin! Honestly, the only way I would send it in is for reconsideration for upgrade. I certainly get the desire to have a matching photo, though. But personally, I’d keep it as is.
Wanna trade problems?

I didn't know PCGS TrueViewed PCGS OGH holder coins. Wow, thanks for the information.
Hmmm. I will have to consider this slabbed trueview option.
I will sleep on it. Maybe I'll also do some research on improving my own coin photography.

Another vote to keep in the OGH!
I would leave it alone and have the TV done thru the slab if I really wanted a TV done, it looks very nice and I sure wouldn't want it rolling around out of the slab. Besides the old slab says "my surfaces are beautiful and stable".

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
I would just clean up the holder with one of the scratch fix products and then have one of the top professional photographers on this site image it for you. Thomas Bush does very good work as well as Todd.
That’s a gorgeous coin. I vote to leave as is.
Sweet looking coin. Mark me in the keep as is camp. I implore you
Repeat after me. I must resist the urge. I must resist the urge. I must resist the urge. Ok, I feel that you are ready.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
I would keep it as is.... but if you need a TruView...then send it in just for that through the holder. Cheers, RickO
I'd keep it in the OGH and with the CAC sticker, too.
Get it TruViewed through the slab, as others have said.
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

Looks good from here congrats to you.
Oh yes, leave it in the OGH
It's worth more in that holder. Pretty coin.

I say keep as is....love the coin.
An OGH and a bean...sweet combination!
Good example why you can’t tell much from pictures. Middle picture looks polished. Bottom almost looks like a 66 matte proof.
Indeed, leave it in that old holder. My gold type set is in all different generation holders, both PCGS and NGC. I do prefer PCGS’s current holders and trueviews, but those old holders have charm.
I like the diversity of the different holders.

Gorgeous coin!
It’s appropriately graded what with the busy cheek. If a new holder that matches the rest of the set pleases you then go for it
I vote to keep it in the OGH!
Read a little about coin photography and tried to get some better pictures. Not sure if they are better but they are different. Camera seems to add a lot of contrast. I think I need to figure out the lighting.
