I picked up this Bank of Upper Canada penny token this week off of eBay. I’m thinking of starting an early Canada circulated type box of 20, with tokens and some provincial/dominion coins (don’t need to many of them as they’re pretty similar in appearance).

That would be awesome!
I would love to see them as you get them. I have been picking up all over where I like the designs.
Only have a few.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
This is great! But I had thought it was brass for sure. Could still be I guess, PCGS gets it wrong all the time

That is incredible @cardinal ! Was that done as one piece or two?

Me too. I asked them to take a look. They changed it to bronze

I'm a big fan of this by George Hampden Lovett. It's nice to see the history of early coin clubs and their ties to engravers of the time. Lovett and Isaac Francis Wood were from New York, so it's interesting the pair ended up doing this for the BNS. I wonder if there's any records of or speculation why the BNS chose work with Wood and Lovett on this.
These come in silver, copper and brass for die 1. They come in copper and brass for die 2.

This looks flashy in hand but less so in photos. It needs a video
It was done is just one piece! I was surprised when it came up on eBay, but the pictures were not the best. Then the seller used eBay's messaging to reach out to me with a discount I couldn't resist. It is very nice in hand!!
Not a huge coin by any means but I picked this up today from my LCS for my 7070 set.

@coinsarefun Same obverse die? The reverse of mine has an ‘M’ engraved under the banner, which I had always assumed to be for George Morgan.

I missed out on a much higher grade specimen before so I got this for now. These are hard to find with a non-damaged nose.
Here's another one I found.
